Why Track Upcoming IPOs Ahead of Time
The price band and lot size are usually published a few days before an IPO opens, once the red herring prospectus is finalized. Knowing them early lets you work out the exact capital one lot (or several) will block, rather than scrambling to check on opening morning.
If you're applying from more than one demat account, this matters more, not less — each account needs its own blocked capital available on the same day, and a UPI mandate that isn't approved in time means a missed application regardless of how much you actually have available.
